I got my Magic Mouse today
This thing feels great. It’s light (feels a bit lighter than my Logitech G7), easy to pick up and move, and, even though I have large hands, it still works and feels great for me. I cannot yet make a statement about battery life, but I’ve been using it for about an hour and it’s still at 100% battery using the two stock AA’s that came with it.
It looks amazing and it’s very responsive. For it being a bluetooth device, I’m very impressed. I typically don’t combine the words "bluetooth" and "responsive" in the same sentence in a positive context. I would say that, again, it’s comparable to my Logitech G7 mouse.
The surface response great, as well! The surface works all the way from almost the very top of the mouse all the way down to just a into the Apple logo. Its operation/feel can be compared to using the iPhone/iTouch .. flicking fast will give the document ‘weight’ and continue scrolling, gently slowing down.
Now, onto the bad.
There’s no middle mouse button. This means that I no longer can bring up my dashboard. It also appears that it doesn’t play well with third party USB dongles. I have an older Power Mac G5 as my desktop machine that I have just recently bought a Cirago BTA-3210 ( Newegg.com - cirago BTA-3210 USB 2.0 Micro Bluetooth Dongle support Bluetooth 2.1 - Network - Bluetooth ) and it hardly works with it.
By hardly works, I mean that I have to use another mouse to bring the bluetooth preferences up, and remove/add/etc the Magic Mouse to get it to detect it after a reboot. On my Macbook, I don’t have a single damn issue with this. I’m lead to believe that the Magic Mouse’s bluetooth interface has been specially designed to work flawlessly with Apple’s built-in bluetooth interface, and that’s it.
All-in-all, if you have an newer Apple machine with built-in bluetooth: 10/10
If you have an older Apple machine without: n/a
I cannot comment on non-Apple machines and this mouse. AFAIK, it’s not really going to work well. I don’t have a non-Apple comp. to test it out on.
Back from Las Vegas.

Red Rock
Well they lost one of my memory cards, while they we’re checking my mono-pod!
Till they find it, I only got few pictures to show..

Patch 3.3 PTR: Valithria Dreamwalker impressions

I have never been more excited about a boss in my life — especially from a healer perspective! I do believe this is the first time an encounter has been introduced where DPS doesn’t play a primary role in beating an encounter. The spotlight is on the healers! I’ll elaborate more after the break as the mechanics for this are very interesting and are of high relevance for healers.

Woman charged after incredible ‘park and run’
Updated: Thu Oct. 29 2009 8:46:06 AM
ctvtoronto.ca
A 62-year-old Ontario woman has been charged in connection with an incredible hit-and-run incident that quickly became a YouTube sensation.
The accident, which occurred on Oct. 22 in a town just north of Toronto, was reminiscent of a monster truck show — a black BMW SUV pulled into a parking spot too quickly, mounted a small curb and rolled over two other parked cars.
The incident was captured by security cameras installed in the parking lot of Extreme Fitness, located south of Highway 7 on Yonge Street in Thornhill.
The surveillance footage shows the driver of the SUV pause and then slowly back out of the parking spot and drive out of the lot. However, the video doesn’t show the face of the driver or the car’s licence plate number.
Shortly after the accident, the video was posted on YouTube and several other international websites. The clip has generated more than 880,000 hits on YouTube in the past week.
The owner of the one of the cars that was hit is a staff member at Extreme. On Wednesday, he saw a car in the fitness club’s parking lot that matched the description of the one seen in the surveillance video and called police.
Investigators arrived at the scene and interviewed a suspect who is a member of the gym.
Tripta Kaushal, a Richmond Hill resident, has been charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
She is expected in a Newmarket courtroom on Dec. 1.

Patch 3.3 PTR: Sindragosa impressions

Sindragosa. Her very name strikes fear into the hearts of mortals. This once majestic dragon was a former member of the blue flight. In fact, she was a consort of Malygos. Sindragosa was available for testing earlier this evening and she’ll be another boss in the upcoming patch 3.3 Icecrown raid. If she looks familiar, you might’ve seen her in the Wrath of the Lich King intro cinematic. It’s the same dragon that Arthas summoned.
Of the two encounters I’ve seen so far, Sindragosa has proven to be the most fun to heal in Icecrown. I’ll tell you what you can expect when your raid faces her behind the cut below. Also, our Icecrown gallery has been updated with more Sindragosa screenshots.

Patch 3.3 PTR: Gunship battle impressions

I’m on a boat!
That was the first thing that came to mind as I entered Icecrown for today’s Gunship encounter that will be coming in patch 3.3. It was another fun fight against those foul Horde forces although there were a few slight bugs in the mix. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to complete it because the Alliance cannons just didn’t seemed to be working properly. The goblins must have sabotaged it. Either that or someone forgot to reload them.
I added some screenshots of the event into the Icecrown gallery.
Anyway, it’s time to grab your sword and fight the Horde!
